Artichaut sculpté en grès ton pierre, monté sur tige de laiton, posé sur une colonne en pierre taillée brute. La tige cannelée s'élève depuis le socle minéral comme un chapiteau végétal — entre fragment archéologique et figure totem. La matière unique du grès, du plus rugueux au plus lisse, travaille la lumière différemment à chaque niveau de la sculpture.

A stone-toned sandstone artichoke, mounted on a brass stem and set atop a column of rough-hewn stone. The fluted stem rises from the stone base like a plant-inspired capital—somewhere between an archaeological fragment and a totemic figure. The unique texture of the sandstone, ranging from the roughest to the smoothest, interacts with light differently at every level of the sculpture.
